12 Avril Days of Christmas
Over the last year or so, I have collected a number of rare and uncirculated Avril concert recordings, both audio and video, and as my gift to you this Christmas, I would like to share them. Each day, for the 12 days leading up to Christmas, I will post one "gift" on the site for download. These are going to be shows that have not previously been uploaded here and will not be reuploads of shows currently posted here. Most of these have never been posted online (though some of you may have gotten copies previously) and are either rarely circulated among traders or have fallen out of general circulation and have become increasingly hard to find. There are even some that I bet you didnt even know existed ;)
Check back to Avril-Media.com starting at 8:00 am CST on December 14, 2012 for my first posting. I will post each day at 8:00 am CST with the last gift being posted on December 25, 2012.
Im really excited to share these with you all, just as my little thank you to the Avril-Media.com community :) |

Avril will be released her new song "How You Remind Me" in December! Its theme of Japanese anime movie ONE PIECE FILM Z.
Canadian Singer Avril Lavigne Contributes One Piece Film Z Themes
This years 47th issue of Shueishas Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Canadian singer Avril Lavigne is contributing two theme songs for this years One Piece Film Z film.
For the first time in the anime franchise, this next film will have two theme songs of its own: "How You Remind Me" and "Bad Reputation." According to the magazine, Lavigne herself is a fan of One Piece, and One Piece manga creator Eiichiro Oda is similarly a fan of Lavignes music. After an exchange of letters and music between the two sides, the arrangement for the two theme songs were made.
One Piece Film Z will open in Japan on December 15. The film will feature "Z" (Zetto), the Straw Hat pirate crews "strongest enemy yet" who was designed by Oda. Oda is serving as the executive producer of this film, as he did for the 10th feature film, 2009s One Piece Film Strong World.

Nickelbacks "Trying Not to Love You": Trying not to wince

The five stages of grief, while watching Nickelbacks newest music video, starring Jason Alexander and Brooke Burns
By Maura Judkis, The Washington Post, August 20, 2012 -- Denial: “I cannot possibly be watching all five minutes and 41 seconds of this Nickelback video. Jason Alexander cannot possibly need money this badly (Brooke Burns probably does, though). Nickelback cannot possibly still be making records.”
Anger: “No. Really? You call this a music video plotline? Jason Alexander as Bud, the Forever Alone Latte Dude, whose manliness is challenged by a motorcycle-riding latte foam artist? And then Brooke Burns writhes around in coffee beans, in a nod to "American Beauty" that comes 13 years too late? And the whole thing is set to the gravelly-voiced princes of mediocrity, Nickelback? No. Also, the goatee.”
Bargaining: “This is a joke, right? Nickelback is totally in on this joke. Theyre making a video so lame that we will all make fun of it for being lame, and then theyll reveal themselves to have been playing a trick on us all along. If they are that self-aware, Ill never make another Nickelback joke again. No one will. Please let this be a joke.”
Depression: “There are still Nickelback fans in this world, and they are probably really excited about this song. And there is no self-awareness here, no jokes that anyone is in on. This video is actually happening, and its even worse than it looks.”
Acceptance: “Well, at least the toupee looks good on Jason Alexander.” |
