Youre gonna LET GO!
Uploaded to ZOMB Torrents yesterday * Upgrade Alert * This new one sounds better, cleaner and clearer -- is from the SBD in stereo, whereas the old one at A-M, is likely from the video recording, and is in mono -- plus this new one is complete.
Not counting the two offically released live DVDs, this is now easily one of the best sounding Avril shows ever, if not the best.
1 glitch (noticed so far) Basket case @ 1:29, second of white noise -- CD scratch? Notched down 1/2 point.
Mouthy SQ rating: 9.5/10

The Point Rocket
- Per Wiki, The Point Theatre (often referred to as the Point Depot or simply as the Point) was a concert and events venue in Ireland, that ran from 1988–2007, enjoyed by in excess of 2 million people. It was located on the North Wall Quay of the River Liffey, amongst the Dublin Docklands. The Point was closed in the summer of 2007 for a major redevelopment and underwent a rebranding as the O2 in July 2008. Prior to the redevelopment the seated capacity was 8,500; it is set to rise to a 13,000 standing capacity in its new existence.
- Av is pretty broken up on the last number. Her grief had been bottled up all night, but came out in the end...
Before the last song "Tomorrow," Avril announced to the crowd that she was dedicating the nights performance to her grandpa, who had just passed away that very day. Through tears Avril performs the tune bravely and brilliantly. At the end the band come to her side and support, and they walk her off stage.
In a later interview for ABC-Family, Avril revealed that she had received the news only a couple of hours before the show. She said that she had never really known anyone that had died before, never mind someone close to her. As reason why she had gone on with the show, she said it was an important gig and that he, her grandpa would have wanted her to go on.
Take in what may be the most intense and highly emotionally-charged show of Avrils career. It will blow you away.
Ultimately its Avril Lavigne. Her Let Go band doing her Let Go album. Try to shut me up about it.
Mick Jagger (1973 Stones concert, urging on the crowd)...
"Youre gonna LET GO! Youre gonna LET GO! ...All right."

medley User 08.18.2012, 08:14 | Wow, real SBD! This is super spiffy. Thank you!
| |
medley User 08.18.2012, 08:20 | I tried to chop out the glitch in audacity, but it wasnt fixable that way. Basketcase (live in Dublin) from the My World cd is the same performance, so it can probably be patched or replaced with that, but Im too tired to attempt that now... *goes to bed*

thewaymouth Administrator 08.20.2012, 12:18 | TYSVM for advising. I had no idea, even though I have that bonus CD. That is probably why it sounds so good. Perhaps this off the original tape recorded by the record company.
I was just about to post this SBD at DIME when I saw your comment. Instead I just submitted a delete request for my own upload of the Avril Live in Dublin video. Plus, I advised the ZOMB uploader he may want to request a delete himself there.
I think it can stay here. Our rules are not quite as strict. If the whole thing had been released, it would have to come down. Since only a few tracks were released on that CD (three), I think it is OK to stay. | |
