One more time. Big time.
One last time. Well, Im almost there. Avril-Media may yet go on. Waiting on avrilfan. But heres to a day soon without me! So am clearing out now what I got left in my archives. Unless Im not. I promise you I keep trying to get someone to bring you the new stuff. But no one has the time and devotion to stick it out, to show true love for GL and the BS Tour. And if I see one more BS singalong... Anyway this is how the story ends...
This show has been presented before here a couple of times, the last one an upgrade of the first. This is not an upgrade. Although one track here, He Wasn t, wasn t available on the upgrade, and is much better here than first offered. As a set entire, this is the first time it is being presented in HD. (Sample caps, and sample track with download link, are provided.)
The show was not originally presented in HD when it was aired on European TV back in 2007. Three years later, as part of Queens Of Charts Week on MTV LIVE HD, the HD version was unveiled. So seems likely it is an upscale. In addition, to go with the bigger picture, there is even a bigger logo now on the screen. Oi!

This show, the fourth stop on The Best Damn Thing Promo Tour, was recorded for air on MTV Europe. It took place in Paris at the nightclub Élysée Montmartre (French: L Élysée Montmartre), before a capacity crowd of 1200 fans.
TBDT BTW was the 4th best-selling album of 2007. Now I ask you, will GL even make the Top 100 for 2011? In other words, will Avril ever be a queen of the charts again? Well, is she going to release GL II?
Anyway unlike the BS band, the TBDT band still had its last tie that binds with Avril s original, LG gang: lead guitarist Devon Bronson. Devon played on The Bonez Tour, with original members Matt and Charlie.
So my last favorite band member is here, not counting my even more favorite members, the most-hated, yet most-brilliant singers, Sofia Toufa and Lindsay Bluafarb. My girls! From what I can see they are sorely missed on the current BS Tour. The most fun back-up singers ever are most missed by me. I d rather see and hear those pros singalong with Avril than you. No offense.

For completists and/or French-speaking only. This segment is dubbed! There is some nice video footage thrown in there, including Avril on the Red Carpet at Cannes in 2006.
An interpreter speaks over Avril in the interview. No one speaks over the interviewer as he is speaking in French, but oh yes, please do speak over the lucky, honored guest! I hate dubbing. So lame. Always go with subtitles. It s not just because I don t speak French. I want to hear Avril s emotion and tone, not an interpreter s flat translation.
NO ONE TALKS OVER AVRIL! They are lucky I wasn t there in the audience. I can see the French host now: "Will someone tell that rude American, maybe you should just shut the fuck up!"
Most French people speak English as it is. So what you do is for those in the show s audience that don t, on the big screen in the studio, you show Avril with subtitles. In Japan they don t dub over Avril. Wake the F up, Europe! WTH

Dubbed. But Avril s voice is louder, and towards the end they let her speak & finish, then give the voiced-translation. Plus Avril throws in some sign language that is understood, a hot gas in any damn language.

Dubbed. But with lots of graphics. Brief interview and expose (tongue-in-cheek?), showing how rebelious Avril is, that she can t even deal with the film crew s klieg-light in her eyes! That she is such a rebel she just had to get an "Parental Advisory Explicit Content" sticker on her new album, The Best Damn Thing! That she rebelled against her own past, going from being Miss Serious to Femme Fun Fun Fun! A damn serious crime, just ask Bandaids. Not that Bandaids says Av can t have any fun, just only the kind of fun of which they approve... "No TBDT!" "No high-heels!" "No skin!" "No dancing!" "No GF!" "Nein nein nein!" Know what, Av rebuts, "I am serious, but at the same time, it s like, I m crazy. I like to have fun." OMFG! That F-word again. Av says getting married hasn t changed her that much. The program says it would like to ask her more questions, but Avril has to go, because she s a rebel! The show is pretty snide, wise-ass. In any language it s fun, motherfuckers!
