It gives me great pride and pleasure to present finally the Avril-Media debut of the official video for Girlfriend Remix (feat. Lil Mama)
aka Girlfriend (Dr. Luke Remix).
Last week our girlfriend launched her own charity foundation to support children and youth living with serious illnesses and disabilities. This week Avril is in NYC, where she has been sitting in on the Clinton Global Initiative 2010 Annual Meeting, to discuss how to effectively confront the most pressing problems of the world.

The Girlfriend Remix single appears on the deluxe edition of The Best Damn Thing, and on the deluxe edition of the Lil Mama album, "VYP (Voice of the Young People)," released April 19, 2008.
For the video, Avril and Lil Mama get together not just in the mad, music doctors imagination, but for real. Even if it is a black-and-white/ebony-and-ivory fantasy, in living color, celluloid world. We can all dream, cant we? I have a dream today!
In the video, Avril brings out her hot girlfriend firepower. AL is hangin for the day with her new homies, LM and her friends. And so let the gangsta-bitch-on begin!
But first there is a flashback to the olden days, to one of the very first videos, Skater Boi. The SB vid begins with a man in the alley of a city, with a pile of spray paint cans on the ground. He announceth the coming of Avril and her band to rock Los Angeles. Flash forward: this time Av gets to play mess up. The GF-RM vid opens with Av graffiti-painting a wall with her skull. Later on she spray-paints another wall between her legs. La chica es loco!
Another SB flashback: in that vid, Av rides the handle-bars of a bike while some dude pedals down a hallway. This time however, Avril is behind the handle bars. But things really speed up when Av vrooms through the park on her scooter like a witch on a broomstick across the sky. Oh, my!
Continuing with the theme of travel, just as in the SB vid, Av once again goes for a car-ride. She is not doing the driving this time either, but at least shes moved up in the world. Av goes from taking the middle-backseat in SB, to now riding shotgun, girlfriend-style. Instead of a dude behind the wheel again, this time Lil Mama is styling. A pink GT Mustang, no less. Avs dream car, perhaps? Note how Av does not end up smashing her guitar through the front window of that ride.
Other than ripping back the flashbacks... Avril rocks the hood with her hoodie, struts the dark city street in her punk plaid-mini and fishnet-stockings, and gets her general freak on in her Abbey Dawn killer-skull fashion. AL aka AD even throws down the hot hammer with her pink guitar. She is playing, painting, riding, singing and dancing up a wonder storm. She is getting down and around with Lil Mama and friends. Av has an ab-fab blast!
I admit I love my Girlfriend. The Girlfriend Remix (feat. Lil Mama) is my favorite Avril-duet. The vid is one of my favorites from Avril, my favorite video-artist.
Just one high-class, cheap-thrill after another!

(After extensive research and review, I have come up three HQ files. All three feature excellent audio. The file with the best video is perhaps the smallest of the three, but still a good size: an AVI, which is sharp and rich in color. Next up in size is a VOB -- here referred to as VOB 196, for its file size -- which is sharp, but the colors seem a little on the light side IMHO. The largest file is another VOB -- here referred to as VOB 212, for its file size -- which is rich in color but just not quite as sharp as the other two.
I personally recommend the VOB 212. Plus, you can always download the AVI, which is quite small in file size, and compare them if you want.)

Plus, you can always download and compare with AVI. It's only 42 MB.
The VOB 196 is sharp but it seems the colors are not as rich.
