All made-up in maple-leaf red, Avril played her part to celebrate Canadas 2010 Winter Olympics Closing Ceremonies. At BC Place (indoor stadium), in Vancouver, British Columbia, Avril and her band performed My Happy Ending and Girlfriend.
In addition to the bright red dress, Avril wore a maple-leaf belt and tattoo to show love for the host country. For her support the native was rewarded by being the only act to get to perform two songs during the show.
There were several different TV feeds broadcasting the celebration all around the world. I have seen three so far. NBC (USA) is the poorest video, as there are no close-ups of Avril. The best is the Canadian feed. It has camera angles on Avril from both the right and left sides. In the middle is the European feed, which has good close-ups, but from only one side.
For now we have a low-to-medium quality FLV of the Canadian broadcast (on RDS, Rogers des Sports). And a HQ MKV of the European feed (on YLE, the Finnish Broadcasting Company).
